Re: Best bug out country
There is no 'best country'......because you are evaluating them on current conditions.
Should it BECOME necessary to 'bug out', you'll likely find they ain't NEAR as friendly as you thought unless you have enough wealth to buy about 1/2 the place. A stranger in a strange land is another way of saying "target". |

Canada........provided you don't let the government know what you have as far as PM's, etc... I believe they may be taxed. It's still white, they speak English, there's lots of space!

Re: Best bug out country
The "best" country is different for every person.
Your connections, skills, wealth, language ability, etc. will determine the country that is best suited for you. Presently, the best bug out country for me is Costa Rica. |
Re: Best bug out country
Prove it ?
OK......you remember those good Americans that happened to be of Japanese decent back in WW2 ? Now there was never any proof that they would be anything but loyal Americans, and do you happen to remember what happened to them ??? And these were folks that some of which went back more generations in this country than the folks LOCKING THEM UP. Seen the signs around the world "Yankee Go Home" ??? .....and they ain't talking about folks from New England......Wonder what inspired them to ink those up ??? Study of human nature tells me that when hard times hit, folks of the same culture stick together, and outsiders are outsiders. The harder the times, the more likely you are to be a target. But, hey.....ya'll wanna run off to a banana republic and hope it doesn't turn to shit, by all means, hit the road....don't let the exit gate hit you in the butt on the way out. Personally, I think this country is worth taking back. |

Re: Best bug out country
I've seen many references to 2012 as the SHTF year.
and another one in this post. The one i've seen explained is that 2012 is about the year that the demographic group known as the "big spenders" (ages 45-54) will begin to plummet over the course of the years after 2012. The theory being that since consumption represents about 60% of the GDP, that the major demographic decline of these "big spenders" will tilt the already financially desperate economy towards major depression ---- this theory put forth in The Great Bust Ahead by Daniel Arnold What other evidence points to 2012? There must me something given the number of times I've seen it. Thanks, |

Let me respond to some points you mentioned first; Japanese began a steady stream of imigration starting in 1850 with the gold rush and was steady leading to Pearl Harbor. What if Mexico bombed Long Beach Port Harbor and Naval bases on the west coast during a vulnerable time for the USA? We would have no option but to round up at least some of the millions of Mexicans illegals or otherwise wouldnt you agree?. I agree with you and going off to a banana republic would be chancy, the problem is the USA is headed for some VERY hard times possibly no constitution and many feel the odds may be a bit better somewhere else. So far the only progress that has been made thus far as in 'taking it back' has information thru the web, on a scale % wise Id say 3% progress this late in the game. Ron Paul in Office for Years , Hes done nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cept talk 3%. I dont know who he was talking to You? Me? Im not a lawmaker he is..... Looks like top of the 7th inning and down 20 to nothing........... We need a miracle............................. |

Re: Best bug out country
The country is worth saving, but who's gonna do it?
Us kooks who think the government is infiltrated and f'd? Sheeple: "But the government sends me checks and tax refunds!!" Us: "But, you're not free - you're a slave!" Sheeple: "Well, I'm pretty happy with what I've got" ---Americans WILL NOT DO ANYTHING until they are broke, hungry, and desperate - by then, it will be too late. They will willingly and enthusiastically go wherever the "saviours" tell them too. Anyone who doesn't comply must be a terrorist and therefore must be "detained" ---------------- The hope is that if we can put down some roots now in another country/society that's not so damned entitled and hooked on conveniences and comforts, then maybe when TSHTF, that even though the economy will take a hit, that the standard of living fall will be shorter, and therefore more tolerable, leading to far fewer "dispossessed yuppies with guns" If you've always been happy with little, then when things get bad, you'll be much better off than the current US middle class DESPERATE HOUSEPEOPLE I'M PISSED!! |
Re: Best bug out country
What's the MAJOR difference between the USA and the REST OF THE WORLD?
About 300 MILLION firearms in the hands of 80 MILLION firearms owners. While I will admit, that if urged a LOT of firearms owners WILL turn in their firearms for concert tickets (or food, or whatever). But even if only ten percent keep their weapons and are willing to use them, we are talking about an armed populace of 8 million people owning approximately 30 million firearms. Which is the largest 'militia' ANYWHERE. Period. End of story. In the WORST hell holes in the world where six and seven year old kids carry automatic weapons, the populace itself is unarmed. AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE MAJOR STUMBLING BLOCK TO THE NWO CROWD. It would take a MAJOR invasion of this country before all the firearms could be rounded up. Kind of like the US military is doing right now in the middle east. And make no mistake, TPTB trust the military about as far as they can throw them. Because way too many of them have families. And they have no intention of letting THEIR families be taken over without a fight. So, go someplace else? Why? What do you hope to gain? If we EVER see a SHTF scenario the chances are that if America stumbles, the rest of the world will fall flat on their faces. Find a group of like minded people (it's really not all that hard) and start your preps now. Use the money you intended to use to move to another country. Find land that borders any national park, which will give your group a place to 'fade away' to in case of direct confrontation. What's the number one rule of any insurgent? USE YOUR ENEMIES STRENGTHS AGAINST THEM. As has been said, "If they are large and your are small, then they are slow and you are fast". USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. Besides, the biggest problem any army has is not it's fighting men, it's keeping them supplied. The longer the supply line, the more fragile it is. There are a LOT of veterans out there right now who know exactly what I'm talking about. |

Re: Best bug out country
Anywhere that has the least infrastructure is the safest place from an aggressive government
On the flip side, those places usually have gang problems and local criminals that will want to steal your stuff Who would you rather deal with and in what surroundings, under what conditions...it's all an individual choice that we'll each have to make. Not meaning to state the obvious, but it is something to consider - no perfectly safe place, but some may be safer than others. As far as the NWO - it started (and is based in) in England and quickly moved here - discounting firearms, we are one of the best shining examples of a police state....#2, England being #1. Pending the next Democrat President and congress, firearms will be gone - what will be left is debt, dependant sheeple all in a North American Union of Canada, Mexico and the US....in a constant state of war with rogue regimes around the world |
Re: Best bug out country
If you're from the US or Canada, then probably...the US or Canada.
Being a foriegner means "target". To not speak the language or know the intracasies of local law and politics could be a fatal error. Let's forget the overall picture and pick an ideal country: Rugged, open space, relatively low population, adequate water and arable land, distant governments, strong historical property rights, low violent crime rates, no revolutionary movements, food exporter. Some would say religious base, unified culture and language, private gun ownership. Outside of the US and Canada, who does that leave? Argentina? New Zealand? Australia is close but off for guns and much of the continent for water. Be careful of the "Where life is better" argument: "apparently not even empty bellies can cure it." Best place to go is where you are--you know the most about it, and have the most resources in it. Moving is in some ways like washing ashore in a desert island: you might do well--but then again, you might not. You have no way of knowing now, and as I'm guessing you don't have enough money to buy your way there and back, it's a major risk. Americans are not as cooperative as it may appear, and angry as hornets and willing to take law into their hands at a moment's notice. That's a tough package to put a lid on in bad times, because police/home armies will sympathize and do the same. Canada is just too far away with too reasonable a people to police in any meaningful way. Look at the drug laws vs enforcement there for example. If I were from Mexico, Brazil, Chile, I'm sure I'd get along just fine there. If I were a 15 year ex-pat in Panama, same thing. Arms are even more common there than N.A. for those who like that sort of thing. But to jump into a new forest just as the fires get moving I'm not sure is a measured plan. Just a Simpleton's view. You know your own situation. TS BTW, there must be a score of threads on this by now. Any keywords, proctor? |
